Summer is the best time for fresh vegetables so let Napoleon help you make them even better! Lightly coat fresh, uncooked vegetables in Napoleon Extra Virgin Olive Oil, sprinkle with your favorite herb and toss them on the grill for a couple minutes. Delicious!

   June 2008:

Napoleon Balsamic Vinegar: Reduce to a syrupy glaze and drizzle over strawberries or any other fresh fruit to bring out their natural sweetness, add pinch of sugar.

Napoleon Organic Red or White Wine Vinegar: Perfect in a vinaigrette to drizzle over salads.

Napoleon Sherry Vinegars: Complex flavor which enhances the flavor of any food. A perfect marinade for vegetables.

Red Vinegar is best used with heartier foods such as beef or pork and White Vinegar is best used with chicken or fish or when you don’t want the added color in a recipe.

   May 2008:

Did you know Napoleon Olive Oil can be easily substituted for butter in your favorite recipes? See our handy conversion chart.

The ideal temperature for storing Napoleon Olive Oil is 57°F although a normal room temperature of 70ºF works very well if the olive oil is stored in a dark area where the temperature remains fairly constant. A kitchen cabinet located away from the stove and away from direct sunlight will work quite well.

   April 2008:

White Balsamic Vinegar is both delicious and versatile.  Add it to a sauce to zip up the flavor a bit without changing the color, combine it with olive oil to make an easy, sweet and zippy salad dressing, and even sprinkle it on melon and prosciutto for a quick appetizer.

For a quick pickled onion:  Slice a small red onion very thinly and place in a small bowl along with 4 tablespoons of Napoleon White Balsamic Vinegar.  Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.  Terrific on grilled sausage or chicken sandwiches!
